Game Development Team Lead · BF Games

Hey! I'm Edwin.

Games have fascinated me since childhood, and I've been making them for 7 years — now as the lead of a development team. I like bringing people, process and product together as a whole.

What I do

  1. 01

    Production process

Streamlining the workflow from planning to release — no bottlenecks, no firefighting.

  2. 02

    Scrum and Agile in practice

Reality is never textbook — so I adapt the process to the team and the project, not the other way around.

  3. 03

    Roadmap and portfolio

Planning multiple projects and programmes, with a coherent release schedule for collaborating teams.

  4. 04

    Building and growing teams

Recruitment, onboarding, regular 1:1s and individual development plans — so the team grows with the projects.

Work

Scaling production

Together with my team, we planned and delivered changes to our in-house game engine. One shared platform and a well-organised release process grew the number of releases from 11 to over 50 a year.

Planning and release management

I plan sprints and the release schedule for several collaborating teams — from scope and risks to production deployments. Games reach players regularly, including in markets with different legal and technical requirements.

Priorities, risk and stakeholders

I translate business expectations into a realistic plan for the team. When time or people are short, I negotiate scope and priorities, and when a deadline is at risk, I prepare a fallback plan so key releases still happen.

Growing the team

A team that stays for years. With low turnover, it grew from 6 to 11 developers. Regular 1:1s, individual development goals and clear expectations help people grow — and keep the team steady through tougher periods.

About me

Video games have been my passion since childhood — and my job since 2019. I started as a game designer; today I lead a team of frontend developers, and together we release dozens of games every year. Beyond day-to-day production, I enjoy initiatives that bring people together — including organising an internal Game Jam at the company.

Before joining the games industry, I earned a Master's in Business Management at the University of Łódź and took part in Erasmus+ student exchanges. During my studies, I completed three internships at international corporations and was active in student organisations. It makes it easier for me today to talk to both developers and the business.

After work, I go back to games — preferably RPGs with a good story. I run (in 2026 I finished my first half marathon), and I spend my holidays where there are waves to surf.
